No Accounts Required

The public NARM Museum Finder requires no login, no account creation, and no personal information to use.

No Personal Data Collected

The server does not collect, store, or process any personal data from public users. There are no analytics scripts, no tracking pixels, and no third-party data collection of any kind.

Local Storage Only

Home institution selection is stored in your browser's localStorage only — it is never sent to our server.
Location preference (if you choose to set one) is stored in localStorage only.
We use no cookies. All preferences are kept in localStorage, which stays on your device.

Geolocation

If you grant location access, your coordinates are used client-side only to sort museums by distance. Your location is never transmitted to our server.

Museum Data

Museum data is sourced from official NARM published directories. No user-contributed data is displayed or stored on the public version.

Private Version

A separate private instance is protected by Cloudflare Access. On that version:

Visit logs and home institution selections are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database.
Access is restricted to authenticated users only.
Data is not shared with any third party.

This policy covers the public version. The private instance is for personal use only.
